Spring Everyday Makeup Look

Holla Holla!

If you're from England then we are in the first week of our 3 month heatwave (oh so hot... not), but i'm hoping it will be nice and sunny so i'm able to whip out my spring clothes. I've already started wearing lighter makeup and more springy colours on my face so I thought i'd do a post on what my spring go to makeup products are.

Rimmel Match Perfection is a reasonably light coverage foundation, just perfect for spring.
Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer gives a radiant glow, so I use this under my eyes. Also for concealer I use the trusty Lasting Perfection for any blemishes or redness on my face and to set all this in place Rimmel Stay Matte powder is my go to.
I then bronze up my face (and attempt to contour) using the bourjois chocolate bronzer as I like to call it and to add a hint of colour I use my all time favourite NYX blush in Rose Garden.

Onto eyes, I used the Soap and Glory Lid Stuff palette in Off the Wallflowers and for a shimmery finish I used the neutral, goldy colour in the palette (Top right) and then in the socket the deep plum shade (bottom left). L'oreal's Miss Manga mascara is my favourite product of the year so far so I used this for my lashes.
To fill in my eyebrows I used an eyebrow pencil from Maybelline, this one is fab because it isn't waxy at all.

For lips I used one of my favourite Lip glosses from Tanya Burr's lipgloss range called Picnic in the Park. It is a lovely girly pink colour with no shimmer. For a bit of shimmer I then added the Rimmel Wake Me Up highlighter and applied this on the tops of my cheekbones, down my nose, in the inner corner of my eyes and under the brow bone.

Dress and Necklace both from New Look

I'm going to Portsmouth to visit my family on Thursday and these are all the products which are being packed to take with me!

Collective haul

Hi everyone,

Recently i've been spalshing the cash a bit and bought some new clothes, makeup and hair bits and bobs! All the items I bought were bought within like 5 days of each other so I did go a bit mental when it came to spending my money this week (after putting most of it away for my car insurance, nearly there woohoo!)
I'll link everything I bought so make sure to click on the links because 1. The pictures don't really show, the clothes, especially, any justice and 2. their descriptions will be a lot better than mine haha!

Firstly i'll start with makeup and hair stuff which I bought from Superdrug.

VO5 we're having a 2 for £5 and i've been wanting to try their 'Give me Texture' spray for ages, and I can tell you it doesn't dissapoint, my hair is huge after I spray a bit into the roots of my hair! I also bought their 'Refresh Me Quick' dry shampoo and I wanted to try another brand instead of Batiste, I think it's just as good!
Next I came across the Revlon stand, I've been drooling over these 'Colorburst Balms' since they came out and whilst they're still on a special offer price of £5.99 I thought I might as well (Zoella's haul tempted me too)! The colour I bought was the Lacquer one in 120 Vivacious, and it's just a shimmery fusica pink, I love it!!
My collection lasting perfection concealer is my holy grail but it doesn't seem to be covering my under eye dark circles recently so I decided to try a thicker product. I was going to dive straight in and get the Mac one but I thought I best test the formula first so bought a MUA version, (even though MUA will be completely different to the mac one). I'm not too keen so I'll stick to the collection one for the minute until I find a better one which I love!
I also bought some of the Oral B 3D whitening toothpaste but that's in my bathroom so not in the haul lol
I haven't shown you my full collection of Tanya Burr Lipglosses yet so I thought I'd add it into here, seen as i've recently bought two more shades. My favourite is Aurora (second to left), it is just a lovely everyday colour and as i've said before, the smell of them all is to die for!!! I got mine off of Feel Unique for £6.99 each, they often have some kind of discount on too which is great!

L-R: Champagne Toast, Aurora, Picnic in the Park,
Let's travel the world and Vampire Kiss

Now onto clothes...
The Daisy print top is from Dorothy Perkins and was £14. The black and white patterned top is from Matalan (I bought this to wear to sixth form as it's quite smart) and the pink top is from Matalan too! The Heels I bought are a simple black pair which I got from Tesco, they have a chunky heel and I absolutley love them!

The skirt on the left is from Matalan and was £10. I bought it to wear to sixth form, it's a simple just above the knee pencil wrap style skirt. The middle dress is also from Matalan (As you can tell Matalan is my fave haha), its a neon pink shift dress which I got for £16 and I love it! It looks fab with the black heels which I mentioned early on in this very long post! However, my favourite of the bunch is this black playsuit from Tesco. It's got some cut out detailing on the shoulders, has a long gold zip down the back and has a very deep V neck which is oh so revelaing (a bit out of my comfort zone haha). This was £22:)

Wow that was a long old post!
Hope you enjoyed it and comment below telling me what your favourite clothing stores are because i'm still in need of more clothes haha!

Thanks for reading:) (sorry it was soooo long)

Brush Cleaning Day

Hi everyone,

I used to always want to know how to clean makeup brushes when I first got my expensive brushes so I looked into it all over the internet. There weren't that many good websites/blog posts so I thought i'd show you my way of how I like to clean my brushes just incase you're looking too!

I decided not to invest in brush cleaner because 1. It's expensive and 2. I found some posts which said that it wasn't as good as baby shampoo. Baby shampoo is literally so cheap, I got it from a pound shop for something like 96p and it gives your brushes a really good deep clean.

I get a bit of the shampoo on my hand and dampen the ends of the brush. Then in circle motions work the brush into the baby shampoo until you think its clean (this will only take like 30-40 seconds.) To get rid of the dirty excess shampoo on your brush and hand, rinse it lightly under slighty warm water, (don't get the bottom end of the brush wet because the water will run down and unstick the glue which will then result in your brissles falling out!!). Once you've rinsed it add a small amount of the shampoo onto the tip of your brush and using circular motion gently rub the brush onto kitchen towel, (I would receommend kitchen towel rather than toilet paper because it's thicker and the toilet paper will break apart). When there is no colour coming off onto the kitchen towel your brush is clean. Make sure you leave your brushes laying flat or hanging upside down with the brissles of the brush facing downwards, otherwise the water will run into the glue and your brush will fall apart.
Once all my brushes have been cleaned, I make sure the brissles are back in the direction they should be because they will dry into that place, I place them onto kitchen towel and put them on a window cill facing sunlight or on/near a radiator. They will take a good few hours to dry so I would recommend cleaning them before bed so they are dry for when you want to use them the next day.

So my top tips are:
1. Use baby shampoo instead of brush cleaner because it's cheaper and gives a deeper clean
2. Clean your brushes using circular motions
3. Make sure you put the brissels back into their right direction before drying
4. Lay your brushes flat or upside down to dry

If you have any other tips or questions for cleaning brushes let me know in the comments below and i'll be sure to try them and try to answer your questions:) Also I am no expert so this might not be right, but it's just a way I find gives my brushes a good deep clean.
I clean my brushes once every 2-3 weeks because I only use them on me and not other people, and because it is a deep clean, they don't need to be cleaned every week (well I don't think so anyway haha)

Mac Lipglass in lychee luxe

Hi everyone,

Thought I'd do a quick post to show you my new lip product which I received from my sister for my birthday. I was lucky enough to get a Mac product from her (along with a few other fab things)! She got me a lip glass in the shade 'Lychee Luxe'. It is a coral toned colour with specs of gold shimmer in it! I'm wearing it today and absolutely loving it:)

This pictures from my Instagram: kierendales :)

I also got the Rimmel match perfection foundation the other day after many recommendations and first impressions i'm liking it!
Have you got of these lip products? Let me know if you have because I'll defiantly be buying more!

My 'Real Techniques' brush collection

Hi everyone,

I've been umming and arring for a while now to do this post (mainly because I needed to clean my brushes), and finally decided to press post, so hope you enjoy:)

I forgot to photograph them after I cleaned them so this
is after a couple of uses.. Do mind me haha!

My collection of Real Techniques brushes started in April last year, I first bought the 'Expert face brush' and I absolutley loved it! Because I loved it so much, I then bought the powder brush and blush brush together on a buy 1 get 2nd half price, which offer is nearly always on in boots, and I love these two just as much! They are all so soft and i'm sometimes late getting ready in the morning because I sit stroking my face with the powder brush hahaha!

When my sister moved to Uni in September, as a leaving present I ordered her an 'expert face brush' and also ordered a cheeky purchase for myself, 'The starter kit'. I use 3/5 of the brushes in this set on a day to day basis, however I have used the 2 others, the 'accent brush' and 'fine liner brush' a few times but just not a daily essential.

These 3 are what I use from the 'starter kit' everyday;
'Deluxe crease brush', 'brow brush' and 'base shadow brush'

My next buy will be the 'core collection' and the 'setting brush'. They are quite expensive but I would really recommend them and for the amount I use them, I have gotten my moneys worth definatly!
Big round of applause for Sam Chapman, my favourite brushes by far:)

Have you tried any of the real techniques brushes/do you want to try them? Let me know which are your favourites or on the top of your beauty wants list in the comments!

NYX makeup haul

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I received my order from NYX (a makeup brand for whoever doesn't know). It's an American makeup brand, however, has a European online store and it is now sold in selected Next clothing stores in UK! I ordered off the online store and the postage costs a bomb!!! But because I spent over £30 (oops) I received free postage woohoo!

I went a bit lip crazy as you can see but also bought a highly recommended blush

Firstly, I bought a set of matte lip creams, as they were cheaper than buying them separately. I wanted the colours Antwerp which is a coral/nude shade and Addis Ababa which is a hot pink shade so when I saw they was in a set I thought I'd buy it to save money and also try another shade for a cheaper price! My lips are quite dry at the moment so they aren't my favourite things ever at the moment, however they do have a really nice formula and the smell is amazing so I do think I will love these when it comes to spring and summer:) The set of 3 was £12 and called 'Give a Little Love'.
That was all a bit negative but I do like NYX lip products as I have the mega shine set including 'beige', 'natural' and 'sugar pie'. I love them and they smell incredible!!! I just want to eat them haha.

I'm not keen on the colour of this lipstick I bought, it was in the sale for £4 so this is why I bought it, however the colour isn't the same as it looked on the site so it wasn't as I expected it to be. A shame really as It's not a colour I would wear :(
However, the lip tint is defiantly something I am going to be wearing, in fact I wore it at school today. It's very moisturising and has a great tint. I would say it is a dupe for the maybelline babylips which I reviewed in a recent blog post:) I would highly recommend this lip tint and it was cheap!! In the sale for £3.50
NYX black label lipstick in 'That 70's Pink' and Color Lip Balm in 'Merci'

The last and my favourite item which I bought was a powder blush in the colour 'Rose Garden'. I already had the shade 'Mocha' which I bought for my prom so I knew I liked the formula, and also a lot of bloggers/vloggers recommened it such as Tanya Burr. She used it in her back to school makeup tutorial on her channel and it just made her look so healthy. It is quite a light shade of pink and had gold speckles in it which I love. Because of the gold shimmer it can be worn as a blush and highlighter at the same time so you don't need to mess around with two products in the morning when getting ready (eg for school, this was a lot easier for me)! Overall I love it and it will definatly be my go to blush!
NYX powder blush in 'Rose Garden'. It is £6:)

I also got one other product but I won't be showing that as it is for my friend for her birthday and I know she will read this (she proof reads my posts incase of spelling/grammar mistakes hahaha, as she is an A Level English student. Thanks Em;))

Have you tried any NYX products? Or is there any you want to try? Recommend me some as I love this brand!!

Thanks for reading:)
